coinbox mount
Banged this together out of the scrap pile in a couple hours (much of the time looking for a $#$%#@ drill bit that some %##^$# hadn't broken then put back in the case)
The coinbox is surplus MTA, and is used as a donation box at a museum. Needed a secure mount for it, so some 4" channel from the scrap pile, the electric hot wrench (AKA Mr. Plasma), add a few welds and a hole for a lock-bar, and....
Cuts for the keyslots were done pretty much by eye (not visible) hacking a little here and there until the fit was good. Back piece has a hole to lag it into a heavy beam (bolt goes through the lower keyslot to reach the hole.) Then the box is mounted and locked in with the used RR spike, which sits on top of the lower key, all protected by the cover plate. Padlock through the hole in the spike and all good.
Baseplate sits on the floor, and the bottom of the box is about 2" above the baseplate, so it can be vacuumed under.
Square holes done with the precision square hole system: 1/8 holes at the corners of each, Mr. Plasma between them, and a 10" single cut smooth file to square up the corners. Maybe 0.005 play in the thing after 15min of dressing, nice smooth slide in and out.
