Wink Wife's Christmas

FINALLY! I finished my wife's Christmas present the other day and thought I would share it. It is a bench for the bathroom to put your clothes, towel, etc on while showering and to sit on after wards to get dressed. The tile is a shade darker than the floor tile in the bathroom. It is a little over 12" deep x 20" wide and the seat is normal sitting height. The frame is 1-1/2" angle iron 1/4" thick, the back pattern is made from 1/2" rod for the bottom curved section and 3/8" for the "rays" radiating from around the curved section and upper curved section, the arm rests are 1" x 1/8", the legs and back up rights are 1" tubing (scrap I got from work ). I bought the palm trees and pineapples from Kings Metals on line. All painted flat black. The white tiles have a flower pattern in them, I don't know if you can see it or not. Any questions feel free to ask.

Merry Christmas all.

Nice! I can see where those castings from Kings can really jazz up a project.

Thanks everyone. I took the pictures out in my shop, my wife wont let me keep my compressor in the bathroom (I told her it might come in handy , she still said no ). I heat my shop with a kerosene heater, it is 20' square with a barn style roof. I have an ambient air filter hanging from the ceiling that I turn on and it does a great job of keeping the heat moving and not just rising to the ceiling and staying there. I finished the second floor with carpet and sheet rock where my wife has all her sewing stuff. Yeah, Kings metal has some great stuff and fast shipping. I got my stuff in 2 days. I showed some women pictures of the bench at work and 2 of them already want one, go figure, lol. Thanks again everyone, I really like this forum, excellent topics, info and of course people.

Merry Christmas to all.

Mike

I'd have to agree, at least for my bathroom. The wife shut all the vents cause she doen't want to sweat when getting ready. Have to say it really wakes you up in the morning though. Though, I have to head downstairs to use the head in the morning cause I don't like to sit on the ice frosted toilet. Next house were getting his and her bathrooms.

Nice job on the bench, really like the detail.
