MIG Which one

Well I will start by say hi to everyone, I am new to this forum and this happens to be the first post in it.

The big question "Which MIG welder to get?"

I am looking at mig welders from Hobart Corporation, Miller Electric Manufacturing Corporation, and Lincoln Electric. I do however want to be able to weld aluminum with it, I do already own a Hobart MIG welder, however at the time of purchase I was told i could later add a spoll gun and weld aluminum with it, well guess what he lied. So well I am looking at getting something more advanced and just a better welder. I am willing to spend around $1000 Cdn, however if it is truly worth it i am willing to spend up to $2000. So please let me know what you think of each company and which welders you think are better, I will then take all of your input and my own findings to come up with a decision.

PS. any questions, i will be sure to try and answer them asap

Thanks to all

Cool

Which model do you have? When you ask which one you are going to get 300 different answers. I would get a MM 210 or Ironman 210...Bob

Thanks guys for the quick responce. I will be sure to check out the thread, Broccoli1. And to asnwer your question aametalmaster I have a Hobart Handler 175, and I think i made a mistake, I had just looked closer on the web and it says it can handle aluminum wire, So i guess my next question is has anyone used it for such an application? and if so how did it turn out?Or is it better to have a spoll gun for welding aluminum?
Thanks
