Candle holder for wife

I never turn down an opportunity to weld. My wife wanted a pair of wall candle holders/sconces. So I got to bend a little steel with my HF ring roller and bench bender and fire up the oxyacyt torch and make a couple welds. Made for a nice evening in the garage! (garage time has been scarce with 9 month old twins!) Still need to clean up and paint.

Nice Design!

Hey that's an interesting design. Did you create it yourself or were you inspired by something you saw somewhere?

Thanks guys.

RivaRich: I believe my wife saw a candle holder with the vase attached by a ring, but the bottom support with the full back plate was a new idea, as far as I know. I have a couple accent pieces to attach and might cut a design into the back with my torch. I'll post a pic once completed.

TJ: That's a good vice. Nice with the rotating jaws. I picked it up a few years ago from a car dealership shop that was closing. It didn't have a handle so I used a lug wrench and bent the end so it wouldn't fall out. Cleaned it up and it works great!
