Iron Chandelier

I thought I would post these links to a Chandelier I built for a client.

Very nice work. Are you familar with Metal Craft Tools used for this type of work? I am thinking about purchasing some of their tools and would be interested in your feedback.

No sorry I'm not familiar with their tools. I do not use those types of tools in my work.

C'mon, bob, nice work (?) THAT IS BEYOND MASTERPIECE!!!!!

Matt that is most assuredly a work of art...the main support looks like square tube, by the suck in on the bend, but how did you achieve the taper to a point? Gotta be worth at least $1500 to $2000

Thanks for the kind words Rocky!

The main support pieces are solid 3/4 stock that I tapered out on my power hammer, and then scrolled on the horn of my anvil. Everything I do is in solid iron, tubing just doesn't do it for me. However, it would have been nice when I was wiring this thing to have some tubing. Hiding the wires was a pain.

Oh, your price estimate, pretty close.

Your iron chandelier is truly a work of art. I have nothing but admiration for someone who can create a beautiful piece of work such as this. I will try and be more verbose when expressing my praise in the future. Describing it as “Very nice work” was truly an under statement. I stand corrected.

I forgot you're a blacksmith....I hate it when I make a dumb statement Square tube...sheesh sorry about that.

It deserves very high encomiums, indeed! (rush to the dictionary)
