    Off The Subjectt

When I moved from Phoenix to here in Louisiana I brought with me a "new" 4 ton Trane heat pump/ac from the house I was building in Phoenix.

Next week I am installing it in my welding/auto shop here , 800 sq feet.
I know, overkill again, but why not use it. Paid $4000.00 for the unit in Phoenix and the ac guy here will do basic install for $600.00.Through the wall with duct type install.

    Any Thoughts??

well, I know with residential AC installations, the sizing of the outside condensor is based on sq. ft in the house.

In that application going too big is a no-no.

This might be a totally different set of rules for your big trane, and in a larger shop environment (with possibly much taller ceilings as well) though, I don't have enough knowlege to advise.
I know in Louisiana, you will more than likely see plenty of condensation, and hopefully no freezing.

    Good Luck!!!
