Mig cart and scooter project pics

I figured it was about time to make a mig cart. I used scrap square tubing from a safety cage they tore down at work. Had to buy the wheels, though...

Also, with all the talk of making gokarts and barstool racers and such, it got me interested in making a little gas powered scooter. I found some plans on line for a scooter from a 1950's Popular mechanics, here is a photo of what I have so far. I used an old bike, cut the steering tube out and mounted it upside down to the frame, which is made of 1" angle iron. The engine will sit in front of the tire and I will build a seat over the tire and motor. I just need to figure out how to mount the engine and hook it to the wheel. The engine is a 2cycle from a toro snowblower, and I am thinking of just using a regular gokart clutch and the bike sprocket mounted to the rim.

    almost super cool scooter

just my opinion but the coolness factor of the scooter would of been double if you used that big tire for the scooter shown in the background.

    Niiiice!

I must say that is the "sexiest" welding cart I've seen. The silver paint is unique and looks real good to me.

I was gonna paint my welding cart regular old black but may
go for the silver after seeing yours.

    Thanks, Richard

I must say I went through an exhaustive color selection process. It all boiled down to which color I had the most cans of in the basement! 2.5 cans of silver won out over 2 cans of John Deere yellow. Plus I figured the silver would look good with the Hobart colors.
