A friend called me to clean out a garage of an old house he just bought, actually he called because it was filled with old pipe and plate and he knew I always had a place for that stuff, and I'm free and a dumpster costs money.
Anyway I wound up with a bunch of various pipe, but about 500' of this 1-3/8" od .113 " id stuff that has a liner on the outside(okay, so a liner is on the inside, this is more like a outer layer then). I could not tell it was double walled until I started to notch it, then as I cut the first notch , a 1/16" outer liner dropped off. The pipe is shiny(thought it was SS?) the inner is slightly rusted, outer is shiny, even after a few years in a damp garage. Magnet sticks to inner and outer, even outer when it is seperated from inside. I build houses, hobby welder, so anybody ever seen this stuff, or know what it may be? Welds nice, made a rack for the pick-up out of it.......Brian
