There was just a thread on this not too long ago. IIRC they are all somehow related, different divisions of the company. Originated in Troy, OH that much i do know as I have played hockey at Hobart arena, they have a nice little display area in the lobby of the history of their welders and kitchen equipment

Convoluted coprorate history would have to be Googled, but suffice to say there is/was, I believe, common ancestry. Miller purchased Hobart and was then absorbed by ITW, Illinois Tool Works, afterwards. I don't know without Googling the subject whether the food service branch went along in that acquisition.
Miller 251, Lincoln PrecisionTig 275, Miller DialArc 250 AC/DC, Hypertherm 900, Bridgeport J-head, Jet 14" lathe, South Bend 9" lathe, Hossfeld bender with a collection of dies driving me to the poorhouse, Logan shaper, Ellis 3000 bandsaw, Royersford drill press and a Victor Journeyman O/A.
