    camera headed robots

Here are a couple little robots I have recently done. The one that is losing his head (or is he re-attaching it) still needs to be cleaned up and have good pics taken, but I thought I'd throw it on anyway.

Found the old cameras in an unclaimed storage sale. The rest is all scrap from the multiple piles I have.

    Thanks guys,

I'll post some good pics of the top one when I get it cleaned up a bit and clear coated.

    Thanks,

    Neat stuff, MNT!

How did you stick that stuff together...brazing? Reason I ask is, I'm guessing the finned arms on the robot are aluminum and the "hands" are steel... How'd you attach the cameras? Epoxy?

    Keep up the nice work

The fins on the cooling coil are steel, the inside is copper, so I just welded it together. The camera on the one who is holding is "head" is held in by friction. It fits in pretty tight. The other is screwed on with the tripod attachment on the bottom.

I wanted to try to keep the cameras operational. I suppose they still work, although I haven't tried them out.

I will try for some real pics of the one this weekend.

Thanks all, for they kind words.

    Thanks,

The photos are tricky. My photo box really helps. Still needs a bit of work. maybe get a lighter sheet to go around the outside. The lighting is the toughest part.
