    I'd like to say that I did it out of the kindness of my heart, but that would be a lie! I had a vested interest in seeing him get the drill press...so he would sell me his old 3-speed power downfeed Royersford drill press. Another 1000 lb. machine.
    I'd prefer the VW Microbus in the background.....

    Try Jet, Delta and Ridgid. Less expensive band saw machines. It can work just fine and gets the job done.

    The best band saw for the money is the Ellis but out of your price range.
