1 phase Miller 350p?

Has anybody run the miller 350p on 1 phase and does it change the charactoristics of the pulse, or the power of it. I use 2 of them at work every day,one for steel and one with the alumapro gun and love the pulse, but my work is 3 phase and my shop at home is 1.I would like to get one for home but cant find one to try out locally.

I havnt used one but doubt if it makes a difference, maybe on top output? Look at the duty cycle in the manual.

I wouldnt even care if the duty cycle is cut in half, if i remember my manual at work i believe its 60% at max power. But at work tomorow i will check and see if they have any 1 phase stats in it. Thanks

How about a single phase to three phase converter for the home shop?

The rated output of 300 amps at a 60% duty cycle is the same for single-phase and three-phase. Amperage range is 25-400 amps for both as well. From the 2012 full-line catalog page 11.

I have ran them both ways, and like most inverters, no change in arc quality.

No point in adding a converter to a machine that already does it.
