I’m reviewing old work instructions in our system and ran across one that calls out welding 6061 aluminum to 5083 aluminum using 4043 wire.
The recommended filler (from what I’m reading) should be 5356.

How will welding these base metals with the 4043 wire affect my finished weldments?
