I have a Cronkhite trailer with a Dexter axle. Last night the axle brook just outside the spring pad. Any way to fix this?
Buy a new axle. You are probably overloading your trailer, so be careful not to do that.
I live in my own little world. That's OK, they understand me here.
You asked this question on the Miller Forum and SundownIII gave you very good advice and you should heed his suggestion.

First thought that comes to my mind is buy another axle, and if you are overloading the axle stop it and install a greater capacity axle.
I will say this tho in your defense, I have had a few customers spindles break loose at the axle tubing because it was not welded on the bottom or poor penetration. When you do buy new axle(s) check the weld around the axle spindle.
I would never tell anybody to just weld it back up for an over the road trailer..
You know pictures would be nice not only of the axle but of the trailer as well..
