You inspired me to fix an issue that I discovered with the spool hub on my Migmaster. Rotating the hub assembly by hand there was a very noticable sticky spot in the travel that required more effort to rotate the hub. Investigating the issue, I discovered that horizontally (back to front), the spindle wasnt square to the sheet metal wire drive compartment wall. Vertically it was dead on. Due to the flimsy design

, it was fairly easy to square the spindle to wall from back to front. Now the hub assembly rotates smoothly by hand. I am going to run a few weld beads with it here shortly to see if there is any improvement.
I hate the retaining clip design on the Migmaster spool hub. Instead of the clip, I've been using the hose clamp from that supposed spool spacer that I purchased several years ago.
