tig welding mild steel to stainless

I am using the hobart stickmate lx ac/dc machine as power source for my air cooled tig torch and was welding mild steel to stainless steel and it looks really dark almost burnt like. is this normal for this. Or should it have color to it.
    heres my setup.. dc-@ 70amps 3/32 2%tungsten #6 cup 20cfh argon flow er309-1/16" filler on 1/8'' steel and 10-12 gauge stainless.

You realy need a high quallity pic for a question like this.
Too many words here just don't convey any definite evidence.

    A conviction here ain't likely.

When popping in for the first, picture walking into a shop.
Introduce yourself and shake "keys" so to speak.

Go past the doorway and notice all the sub-forums...........
Tig in this case, you've dropped your thread
on the receptionist's desk figuratively speaking.
    WELCOME .... just the same.

In the beginning, the Earth was without form, and void.
When one picks up some wood or metal or stone and shapes it into something usefull
... I beleive that it has to be a deliberate effort to disavow a creator.

As you work these, and join them, you feel the force and the will of He
who formed and shaped the very resorces that you now add your will and force to.
Further one surely can know when your will and force is not aligned with His.

ok thanks. I guess it is rather vauge. but from what ive seen with stainless welds it usually has pretty golden to silver and puprle colors to it. is this not the same with mild steel to stainless welding. ill try and post a pic but to discribe it, it had no color at all and looked burnt.
