    Unhappy Planishing Hammer Pad deteriorated

I went over to my trusty HF Planishing Hammer, which I haven't used in over a year, to work the dents out of a chrome headlight housing, and noticed the pad look like it will fall apart from vibration alone, much less the impact. This is in the "semi-outdoors" portion of my shop, where I do just about all my work, and it gets temperature changes, but never direct sunlight or rain.
I'm trying to figure what else I can put in there that might last longer (leather discs glued together??)...and I have never tried to order a Spare Part from Harbor Freight.

The patient..it will become the leading edge of a rocket or jet nose cone when straightened..

Like this BBQ I did a few months back...

You might try their Tech Hotline (888-866-5797). I haven't used it in a number of years but back then they helped me figure out what parts (pins, as i recall) didn't get in the box and shipped them out to me.
