Problem in a foil roll welding machine

Dear all,
i m working in a PSU, as a maintenance engineer.
We have one foil roll welding machine. During operation of the machine, at one particular
position the bottom carriage is not moving, and some alarm is occurring. We tried to operate the
carriage with out placing any load. Even though that carriage was stopped at one particular location.
We were tried, but couldn't able to find the problem. So, could you please help us regarding this problem?

your machine funtions propperly ( normally ).
Then describe in more sequencial detail "how it is NOT working" (malfuntioing).
