    Large quantity of TIG rods

I have a large quantity of TIG rods which are rusted. They are Harris ER70S-3 and I have 500+ lbs still in the boxes. Some only minor but some with alot. I assume these are only good for scrap metal, let me know what you think?

    Thanks, Bob

The lightly rusted ones could be cleaned as needed/used I have done the same with gas welding rods both that type and brazing rods of assorted alloys and of course you have to clean the aluminum gas rod before use. The heavy rusted stuff #1 shred is going for $210./ton in the area. But that's just me. I have gas rod that I have been using for 30 years, I don't do critical welds.
glen, been there, done that and probably broke it!If you aren't on the edge. You'r taking up to much room

Clean the lightly rusted rod with scotchbrite pad.
