Interesting. How do you secure the vise mount?

It looks like you're using the reciever hitch method to mount your vice. I like the clean top you get with this method, but rour small plate that provides a "landing zone" on either side of the vice looks useful. I thought it was an extension of the table until I looked again and saw just the receiver tube and no vice. Nice job!

    table

yeah the vise uses 1 1/2 square tubing 1/4 wall and on the vise plate i use solid square that i milled down to slide inside of the tube , in the middle of pic 2 there is a 1 inch square tube that slides out 15 inches and i use it as a handle to move the table around on the two wheels i have mounted ,, i think im going to go ahead and mount 1 swivel wheel on the one side that i can raise and lower then i can just push the table around easier than it is now ,, it still a heavy turd though . my top clamps is made from No# 10 rebar and 3/4 coil bars .

In the beginning, the Earth was without form, and void.
When one picks up some wood or metal or stone and shapes it into something usefull
... I beleive that it has to be a deliberate effort to disavow a creator.

As you work these, and join them, you feel the force and the will of He
who formed and shaped the very resorces that you now add your will and force to.
Further one surely can know when your will and force is not aligned with His.

    welder

i used the old Lincoln stick welder to put it together
but ive changed it since i posted the pics on here , i went with
steel wheels on the back and swivels on the front , now it's alot easier
to roll around now and added a rack to hang the different grinders on when i need them
. but ive used 3 welders on it so far
the Lincoln stick , the Lincoln 135 mig and the Hobart 250 .
but i dont see no further mods left to do ,

    it's done

What kind of bracing do you have under the main table? I assume it's needed with the slots in there.

    Hello,
under the plate i have 2 # 4 inch channels that come in 6 inches from the end of the table no other brace supports, on my X cross cuts i have 2 inches between each slot , there is no warpage from the table top
    plate .

I'm sure there's an obvious explanation which I'll be embarrassed to miss, but what function do the horseshoe-shaped devices on the sides serve?

I also like the carts. Everything is there, it can go to the work and then back to the corner. Food for thought....

    horseshoe hanger

the horseshoe hanger is so i can hang the different 4 inch grinders in as i need to clean up the
part as needed , grinding wheel, wire brush etc.. so i dont have to stick them back below on the shelf
or have them in the way on the table .
