Hobart auto-dark helmet acting up

Hi folks, new to the site here. Just wondering if my Hobart helmet is toast. It's the one that takes 2 AAA batteries and has 2 adjustment knobs. It worked great for the 1st couple years I had it but now turns dark with any change of light and just stays that way. It doesn't matter where any of the knobs are set. It has also flickered crazily a couple times. Anything I can do aside from buying another helmet? I probably used it less than 20 times, kinda sad. Thanks!

you did install new batteries right?

I pulled them and measured them with my meter at 1.5volts each plus the low battery light is not on. I could try picking up some new ones to try but my meter says they are good. Thanks for the reply.

If the batteries are good, you possibly have corroded or bad contacts in the helmet if the batteries have been in there very long.
