    handler 187 spool gun help

    hello all 2 years ago i got a handler 187 as a gift and i been trying to weld aluminum without a spool gun and its not going well. what spool gun do i need ? ive been searching on here but havent found my answer ? do i need the 300143 kit and SGA-100 Spool Gun Control or can i just use the Hobart DP3035-10 & Installation Kit. need cheapest route please help

    A 187 needs the kit. It doesn't have the circuitry to run a spool gun. That is the change that made the 187 into the new 190; spool gun plug and play.

    The 3035-10 did not work with my HH187. I found out the hard way that there is a difference in drive motor voltage that will not produce enough wire speed. Purchased the Spoolrunner 100 and seems to work fine.
