I'm new to the forum. I'm strictly a hobby welder and still learning. I've been dabbling with a stick buzz box for about 25 years. Never been able to do sheet metal with the buzz box. TSC had a sale on Hobart welders and the Hobart trailer was there so I got to practice some on sheet metal. If it wasn't for that, I'd still be looking. I was actually looking at the 140, but the price on the 190 with the gas bottle ended up less than the 140 - so, I ended up with the 190. Haven't even turned it on yet, but right after christmas - - -!

I hear the 190 is more or less a 187 that is spoolgun ready. I got a 187 on sale a while back at the Lubbock TSC and I love it. Welcome to the forum. What part of Texas?
