fireplace heater w/ A513 DOM

Hey all,

I'm looking to build a fireplace heater with A513 DOM. I didn't want to use galvanized tubing as I'm aware of the toxic fumes that'll be emitted not only while welding but when I use it in the fireplace. What I'm wondering is, is the A513 safe for the fireplace? Thanks!

DOM is kind of pricey for fireplace? Why not common black?
