why do people pay so much for wooden machinist tool boxes?

Hi, I made my own from 1mm galvanised sheet steel.

It has the usual top opening compartment with drawers and a bottom "secret" compartment that requires you to remove the bottom drawer to access it.

It's been all around the World with me since I made it in 1962...very functional.
