which new tig welder?

well which one would you choose? mostly looking at the HTP invertig 221 and the lincoln pt 225 any opinions? Im leaning towards the Htp and they will do lay a way for me too. Also if there is something else in that price range i should be looking at let me know. thanks

No sense in a Lay-a-Way, unless its a special deal right now. Just set the $$ aside, like paying them, and perhaps a killer deal will come along , or, if not, just buy it when the cash has built up....plus you'll get to read up on all the different models / brands in the interim.

Good point about lay away just feels good to have something down on one is why im thinking about that. Any opinions on the welder?

From what I've read, and heard, all things point towards HTP being a great company and making an awesome unit.

I'd no problem buying the Ivertig 221 myself.

Miller and ThermalArc has some really neat stuff coming out in the next 4 months. I would hold out for them.

We are using Millers at school, they have got several different models. I got a hot deal on a dusty new in the box PT225. Increasing success with the Millers, but I seldom get a bet weld out of my PT225. Got to admit I looked long at hard at some used Millers.
