I am paying $45/refill (c25) plus an 8 dollar a month rental fee. I have a 250-300 tank. I can't remember specifically. I can buy straight co2 for around $30/refill and the same on rental.

I priced around and found a guy that is bringing it in and trying to start up so he has low overhead. the same gas from the largest outfit in my part of town is $90/refill. they have new machines and consumables running out the ears for just about everything. They have 6 guys working the counter/store and the storeroom is clean and shiny.

Give me dusty and dingy with lower prices everyday. I can order my stuff from the small guy if I need something other than wire/electrode/carbon/gas. the small guy carries just the basics. He has standard stuff that will move whereas the big guy has too much overhead and has to keep his prices high.

depends on the size of the tank. if you cant call around and get prices you can always baulk at the price and see if saving 72 bucks gains you more magic than welding does. seems you made the best decision for you already.

i figure about a minute of arc time can save you 72 bucks worth or hardship and productivity time. easy.

Yeah that sounds really high, I pay around $30 to get a 300cf bottle charged with 75/25 $3.50 bottle rental. I would look at a new supplier but that's just me.

Just received the bill for the Argon tank lease. $62/year for maybe a 160/180 or so. I'll have to call tomorrow and see what they want for a fill.

$30 sounds like a good deal to me. do you purchase a lot of gas?

I just haven't found a good deal on tanks yet.

A fill on Argon is $39.

I just bought my 150 bottle. It cost $36.33 plus 8% tax to fill with C25.

I do gas/wire orders weekly so I usually get a pretty good deal on consumables.
