    Hobart TR250-HF Trouble Spec. 6088-1

    This machine has max. output for any given range selected no matter where the output pot is set.
    Foot control is not used.
    Any help out there ?

    I would suspect bad SCRs or the board that drives the SCRs.
    Start by checking the SCRs and maybe you will get lucky.

    This is an earlier machine prior to the SCR version. It uses a mag amp and diodes.

    That would leave the PC board and circits that drive the mag amp as the primary suspects.
