    Bottle Opener

I got this idea from a blacksmith on another forum. Railroad spike cleaned up with a flap disk, notches and grove cut with a cutoff disk, heated with a rosebud O/A tip and twisted using a pair of crescent wrenches with one end in a vice -- then sanded bright again with a small sanding disk and "heat painted" to get some nice color (doesn't show up well in pic, but nice bronze, blues and purples. Oh -- cut the groove at top (bottle cap grabber) with O/A torch then smoothed up with carbide bur in air grinder.

    They make nice gifts.
