    snap-on ya2225

    hello,

    i'm a hobbist, i own a snap-on ya2225 25amp plasma, i give $150 for it years ago, think it was the best $150 i spent in a long time.

my question is with the snap-on plasma and the torch on it... it has the contact type torch, where you have to make contact, then push down on the tip, then it starts. i hate it being this way.... that is about the only downfall with the machine..

is there a way i can convert it to the non-contact type torch relatively in-expensively...

i have seen weldmart.com sells a kit to convert it and they want like $200 or $300 for the alpha3 torch, adapter, and a sample pack of consumables.. this is ok but just to pricey for me.. i was hoping someone might know something that i could do that might work using the cheaper ebay torches or something..

    thanks..
