Hello,
Just a little bit about myself...I am a structural engineer and went through the CWI course in Orlando July 2009. Ever since then I felt I really needed to get some hands on time with this stuff. I bought an IM 210 a couple months ago. It has taken a while to get up and running but the last few weekends I have been able to start putzing around a bit. Three of my boys (11, 12, 15) are pretty well jazzed about it too. Lots of projects in mind. Not enough time. I am looking forward to learning from all of you guys that have been doing this for a while.
Hey there Del,
Welcome to the weld talk chatter box. Nothing like getting some hands on to go with your head knowledge. A welder is a great investment especially when it becomes a father and Sons projects. Hmmm do I see a go kart/buggy project in the future?? Yes I think I do.
What city do you call home??
I have several projects in mind. My 11 yr old has MANY projects he would like to do. One of them is a go cart. We live in Bronson, which is 20 miles southwest of Gainesville.
Del,
We have another member here that lives in Bronson. Maybe He will come along and say Hi.
It sounds like your 11 year old is going to keep stoking the fire under you.
