    fire pit

here are some pics of my fire pit, it is 1/8 Mild steel, I use it to burn all the things you dont want identity thieves to get hold of.

It started as one of "how do you lay out one of these" questions.

when i finished the drawing in short order, no one believed it would all fit, so of course I had to shear it out and tack it up, which lead to finishing it

Pretty slick. Do you have air holes in the bottom, or just the door?
I live in my own little world. That's OK, they understand me here.

No Air holes, it was done on purpose, occasionally I use it to dispose of old oils, fill the bottom full of oil , and put in a few sticks of fire wood, and it burns like an oil lantern, for as long as twelve hours. it will burn all the oil with no smoke at all, and leave the Pit nice and clean, Relatively clean , it is a fire pit

    It is all flat pieces.

The bottom hexagon was laid out using the same technique as a 6 hole flange, then simply sheared out

Then layout the joint where the sides go vertical in the same fashion this gives you the upper measurement on the six trapezoids pieces that will become the lower, and upper part of the sides, they are identical. cut out the 12 identical trapezoids that form the lower and upper sides, the larger side on the trapezoids give you the top and bottom measurements for the sides, Out of laziness I cut the sides square. Cut an Arched door in one of the squares for a door... Walla!

I probably did not explain that quite well enough, but everyone I showed, understood pretty well

In the beginning, the Earth was without form, and void.
When one picks up some wood or metal or stone and shapes it into something usefull
... I beleive that it has to be a deliberate effort to disavow a creator.

As you work these, and join them, you feel the force and the will of He
who formed and shaped the very resorces that you now add your will and force to.
Further one surely can know when your will and force is not aligned with His.
