have a problem with my hobart champ 10000
Two days ago my welder stopped giving full power ( only gives small spark,barely visible.) It starts great, the engine throttles up correctly when i contact my rod, and it gives full power for about two seconds. As it gets up to full throttle,my power goes to zero.If i shut it off and start it again it does the same again....full power until about full engine speed, then nothing on the leads and the ac outlets also.Its been raining for two days on the machine... could something just be wet and shorting? could just drying out fix it? Its always worked ok in wet weather before, and was working in the morning but just suddenly stopped. It is a new machine and only has 38 hours on it,all my time.please help. my usual contact got in a motorcycle wreck and has been in critical for three weeks now.:
