    Xelux AD helmet

I bought an AD welding helmet on Ebay that has a Xelux AD lense in it. I don't seem to find much on the internet about them... Swedish made lense I think?

Anyone heard of them before? or know anything about them? It's a fixed shade 10 or (10.5) auto darkening.

They had 5 different colors listed and they all sold for under $35 S&H included. The one I got is Gold w/flames on it( ebay #300309415499) and the flames suck. I didn't need another AD helmet, but for that price WTH...my weekly toy. I don't figure I'll get hurt by the price and if it's any good I'll sell off one of the older cheapo AD helmets(maybe!!--LOL)

Hopefully it will have some information with it when it's delivered next week.

Well the helmet came in today and it's a Sellstrom helmet with a Xelux AD lense. At least the box says Sellstrom & the helmet directions say Sellstrom "Titan" welding helmet.

I haven't been to the shop to try it out yet,but it looks pretty good so far. It was clear coated after the flames were applied and has some runs around the edges and I'm not impressed with the headgear quality, but can't complain too much at the price I bought it for.

It looks like an "Ironman" comic book helmet, but that's cool. I was going to remove the flames from it,but the clear coat nixed that idea so I'll just live with them if the helmet functions well.

Just thought I'd update this thread since nobody knew anything about Xelux AD lenses
