    Question Mig gun cord protecter?

While doing a search for mig cart ideas, I noticed that on this one here:

It has a sleeve of sorts that looks to be used to protect the mig gun cord. Is this something that can be bought somewhere, or is it more of a homemade type thing?

Either or. You can buy it or you can make your own. They aren't cheap, I know that.

Don't know how much protection you need, but you might could use some wire loom.

Wouldn't protect too much from hot slag or big sparks, but it would help with abrasion.

The only time I've seen covers on MIG guns are the water-cooled type...the air cooled don't need 'em. Same with TIG cable.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.
