Airco 300 AMP DC Canox Yellow Jacket

I have acquired an old Airco 300 amp DC Yellow Jacket Canox portable welder with a nice running Continental engine. For the last year is has run quite well, recently though we are having troubles receiving any output.

We have taken the front panel off and cleaned all the corroded copper contacts (including the polarity swith, range selector).

Unfortunatly the polarity switch was incorrectly reinstalled and when we started the unit the motor / generator started to overload the circuit - and we immediatly shut it down due arcing.

Upon review of the correct order of the switch we have rebuilt the polarity switch as to what it should be. Unfortunatly, we still have no output power to the dc 110 or output welding current.

We are looking for suggestions as to what we should do to repair as well as an operators / maintenance manual for this age of machine that may assist.

    Airco

Airco and Canox were re-branded Miller welders. If you have a model and serial number, I can probably get a manual for you.
