Smile That Old Thing was SOLID!!

I decided the last two old sewing machines were going to be "Lower legs and Feet" for another creation, but their "feet" pointed the wrong way. This would not mount in my bandsaw properly, so I whipped out the trusty, beaten up Ryobi Reciprocating Saw. Cut right through it, but I kept waiting to "run clear" once I hit the hollow insides of the casting...but the darn thing (Damascus Brand) is SOLID CAST IRON!!!. No problem for my project, but I was surprised!!

( I also have tried a number of different blades, but none seem to hold up and cut as well as the Milwaukee Bi-Metals)

OK...I went out and cut the other (a Singer)...it was "Semi-Solid"...

And here is where I'm heading...looks like a thigh, knee, shin/calf, and foot to me!!!
