    railing delivered and almost installed

    This has been a while in the works. crappy weather held it up for a couple of months. The clients loved it when they saw. that was a big relief. still working on the hand rails.

    I'll be glad when this one is done.

    Looks great. Are you going to paint it or cover it with a clear coat to preserve that coloring?

    Yeh, very nice. Looks like some kind of custom coloring done with patina or heat or something. Can't quite pick out what.

    That is a heat patina and hot oil finish. then covered with about 6 coats of clear lacquer. That 11 ga. square tube and 1/2" solid square bar ate a lot of gas to color it.

    The middle one is a 1/4" sq bar forged to match the design in the door. THe pickets are basket and cast iron collars.
