    help!

I have recently purchased a mm210 from the original owner, and it came complete with the tank. My dilemma is that I have taken the tank to every god blessed lws here in my area, and they wont fill it because it didnt come from their chain, or its too big to be owned (I think its a 150-160 cu ft, and I dont have any ownership papers to prove it) So what can I do with it? Can I contact the person that I bought it from and get a bill of sale from them? Or am I just SOL?

You're really at the mercy of local suppliers when it comes to their tank policies. Las Vegas, NV is very liberal and I can exchange almost any tank and I've never had to produce a paper or even answer a question.

Hopefully someone from East Tennessee can tell us more about your area.

Call them and ask if they will accept a bill of sale from a private party. Are there any names around the collar, just below the valve, or is it smooth?

Please put the actual question in the subject line. You can just imagine how many threads we have entitled "Help." Thanks.

there is a name under the neck, the people at air gas allowed that they had bought the company from which the tank was purchased. With out the ownership papers they tried to take the tank from me. I had to talk them into letting them give me a chance to get in touch with the previous owner to get the papers

What is the name on the tank? Some are obsolete and don't matter.

Ask the guy you bought them from not only where he got them, but also where he was getting it filled.

Some say - he blows pure argon out of his ... all we know is - he's called the Stig :-)

Sorry, couldn't resist! I wonder when Top Gear will be starting their next season? Fifth Gear just finished season 13.

As to the cylinder - if you do some searching on the forum you will find the advise not to let it out of your truck until/unless the LWS agrees to fill or swap it. That will make it a little harder for the LWS to be an ars and try to confiscate it.

My only experience with cylinders so far has been a 40 CF Thoroughbred from Tractor Supply which I was promised could be upgraded if I found it too small. They changed their minds when I brought it back for a refill so I raised H with the President of TSC and they ended up buying it back . I had in the mean time purchased a tank from Myco Supply (a Linde distributor). I have the papers and have recorded every number stamped on the cylinder. Now all I need to do is use it up :-)

the tank is still in good standing as far as hydro testing ect....the tank came from some welding supply place out of statesville nc. the guy that i purchased the rig from lived in winston salem. It wouldnt be worth my time to take it back and get it filled there living in kingsport, tn. looks like im gonna have to bite the bullet, and get a lease on a tank, **** ive always wanted a 300 cu ft one anyhow

Thanks Stig. I have the Ground Force episode (from Usenet). I guess the fact that it is listed as 11x00 implies that there will be an 11th season. Can't wait.
