    large grill ideas

i want this to be one of my projects but aint sure as to where i should begin. I have seen grills made out of beer kegs, i am thinking of something larger. i will be using my mig 140, lincoln arc, and i will be having access to a plasma cutter. besides the grill itself what can i use/make into the cooking grill. any ideas. thanks

Well you could get a 55 gall. drum, preferbaly one that is food grade, you could use an old compresser tank, or a small propane tank that is no longer useable,(NOTE: THE COMPRESSER TANK AND PROPANE TANK SHOULD BE EXTREMELY CLEAN IF YOUR NOT SURE DONT CUT IT),look around at some scrap yards you might find something unique to use.

I've been thinking of making a grill out of maybe 14 ga steel but forming, cutting, welding, whatever, to make it look like a gas tank from under a car. That'd be different. Don't know if anybody would eat the food, though.

Try your local Oil changing shops like Jiffy lube. They seem to be glad to give them away. I think they have to pay to have them removed from their facilities.

SUPER NICE................. Never saw one of those.

Would be cool to have a rotisseri motor turning a fan in the front of the engine...........

Why didn't you do a high quality, nice looking job while you were at it?

All seriousness aside, that setup looks like you could make a really sweet kit out of it. All the user would have to do is slice the drum in two, then drll and bolt or weld the upper and lower frames, sides, and intake and exhaust vents.
