I had two nice BDC style carts....one for my HH140 and another for the Maxstar...well I upgraded to the HH210 (it fit fine on the HH140 cart) and also picked up one of the 4x6 bandsaws so things were starting to get tight for me so I built a cart to hold the HH210, Maxstar and two cylinders.....it is still "in progress".....FYI I bent the rings for the dual cyld. holder by hand...no ring roller needed

Mike - I like the way you filled in the area around your bottle supports. Gives it a nice clean look. I made mine exactly the same as you did - clamp the end in the vise and wrap it around a form by hand. One thing I like about leaving mine open, is it provides me with a nice spot to store my Tig Rods. The tubes stand up nicely in there and aren't falling all over the place.

What are you using to retain the bottoms of the cylinders? I can't see from the pictures. I just bent more rings from 2x3/16 that the cylinders could drop into.

What sort of a form did you use for the bends? Did you bend them cold, or with heat?

I have a piece of 7" dia pipe that I picked up as scrap. I clamp the 2" flat bar in my 5" vise - between the pipe and the back jaw, (with the front vise jaw up the center of the pipe) then lean on it to bend it around. Not as hard as it might seem. I make sure I have a long piece to start with, and then cut it off at the right spot. It will spring back a little - just about right for a 7" dia cylinder. With some practice you can even make straight leads and tails. No need for heat or hammering if you have some leverage. 3/16" is easy enough 1/4" would take some pulling.

I made a few complete circles of 1 1/2" to mount 7" stove pipe to. After I had a 7" ID circle, I measured the outside and cut it back about 1 1/2" so it matched the ID of the stove pipe, then squeezed it in the big vise and welded it closed. Took a bit of hammering and squeezing to get it round after - but it worked. Would have been easier to use a smaller pipe, but 7" was all I had.

Thanks guys for all the nods of approval especial from the "famed" creator of the BDC cart ROFLMAO!!!! as for the cyld rack it is not finished....I'm planing on a hinged design that will allow me to bolt them in the center and flip them open one at a time.....I used a piece of a cyld. sleeve out of a 16 cyld CAT diesel on the first one and the second I used an old fork lift wheel I cut in half....I like doing them cold you get more uniformed of a bend that way as with heat you can get flat spots...
