Smile Tool Man Taylor RE-Badged Mower

I had a number of suggestions to re-badge the mower as a "Binford 9000" because it looked just like what Tim Allen would have done...so, it is now "The Binford 9000"!

Reminds me of that movie "Moving", where Richard Pryor moves in next to Randy Quaid, who has a big-block V-8 mower.

Great idea on the rebadge and nice work there Hotfoot. Mattel would probably copy that and make it into a Hot Wheel car similar to this.

Y'know, I almost painted an old fire extinguisher blue to "add NO2". but then I figured that would only call attention to the fact it had no gas tank...

Buy his mower and you can have the gears on it. (Hotfoot, if he buys it now, can I get a commission?)

Those gears are the plastic camshaft gears from the engines, painted with some Rustoleum Hammertone paint, then wiped with some walnut stain, all to give them a 'metal' look. I then simply drilled holes in the cases and glued the shafts (which are steel) into the cases with Goop Household Glue (a favorite of mine-I use many tubes). Broccoli made a great 'gear score' from a Transmission Shop
(he made a dynamite looking burn barrel from them), so you might try a couple of those places.

Its long gone. A guy bought this and a few other of my auto- based 'creations' at the Swap Meet last year. He was heading right over to a Rat Rod Rally/Swap Meet in Austin to re-sell, so no telling where they are living now!

Ah, well, still cool stuff. You have a great imagination for this kind of thing - very creative. Your yard must be really interesting to see! (I have to admit, I got some pictures of your Air Compressor Bike up on my PhotoBucket account to show a bunch of people what can be created with some time, imagination, and a welding torch. I did NOT claim it as mine, and gave you credit for creating it in the tags for each picture.)

There are some guys around my area (Tucson) that do artwork with old bicycles and rims and frames - gates, bike racks, carts, even a ten-foot-tall cactus made out of bicycle rims. I got some pictures on PhotoBucket of their stuff. Here's the link to the bicycle artwork, if you wanted to take a look:
