    Acetylene a-Spellinging

LOL, the local Craigslists are always good for entertainment watching folks wrestle with the word "acetylene."

I thought the worst one so far was the guy who confused everyone with trying to sell "a settling" tank.... but this one didn't even get close! Funny thing is, the word's right there in his picture...

Spelling, grammer, and punctuation are funny things. I saw a yard sale sign that said, all on one line, "Yard Sale! To-day!"

"Estelline" sounds just like one of the girl's names I encountered when in the late 50's I, as a new recruit from New York, got stationed in Mississippi, then Alabama, then Tennessee...also known as 'Culture Shock"....differences...lots of differences....

I'm not a big Craigslister, but there are quite a few on eBay, too.

I've gotten some good bids on things that others haven't found in their searches by purposely looking for the common misspellings, like "Klien Tools" or "De Walt" (with the space) and others.

Ya can't install that hotch 'till ya premesh the ratostat and rotate the ganker 90°! Then, make sure you install the pin with a free-running press fit.

This thread is hilarious. I've often laughed my *** off on the list, but some of these are priceless.
There is also a diner in my town that has a bulletin board where people post all kinds of stuff. I read the whole board every time I stop by. It's become an entertainment addiction with me.
There was an ad on it the other day from a guy selling "Dors and Windes".
Seriously, who has never seen the word "door" or "window"?

Honcho Street bar district outside Yokosuka Naval base I would often see hand written signs outside bars in broken english by locals that wrote and spoke english probably better than I did.
