    I finally got it!

Picked up a HH140 about a week ago, now if relatives quit croaking I'll get to practice some! Got to run a couple beads last night, that little thing has some power! Ran a bead on some 1/8th inch at the recomended setting, had more bead on the back side than the side I was welding on! Turned her down a notch and still had som pucker on the back as in good penetration. That is with flux core, gonna be fun to play with. Also got a set of Victor AO torches, haven't opened the package yet, still thinking about taking them back and getting the Smith. Trying to get set up with tanks for all of it, might have to sell the wife and put the kitties on a road show to do that!

How many miles on the wife?

Just kidding, mine has told me the only way out of my marriage is the death of one of us.

We want pictures. (of the welds not the wife lol). You must have much better 110 voltage at your house than I do. My 140 will weld 1/8" but I sure can't say it puts more bead on the backside than on the front with it.

While mere mortals get their recommended daily allowance of iron from a pill - Weldors will take it Cold Rolled or DOM, thank you very much!

This is the second one I have had, much better than the first. I figure it isn't always easy living with me either, so I will keep her around for a while longer. Plus I was never all that good at the dating thing anyway.

Those tiny pictures look like thumbnails of beef jerky. Didn't know you could make that with a MIG welder. Or maybe my eyes are going bad after looking at the wife all these years. Now that I think about it, I do recall being told not to squint when I was a young pup

Sorry about that, haven't checked to see if they will zoom in, went to photo bucket, made them the right size, brought them back to my pics and sent them here and that's what size they turned out. Maybe I can do a link to my pics, lemme see if it works, seen it done in a cartoon once!

I've never made anything like that with my HH140, what settings are you using?

That was set with amps on 4 and the wire speed on 4, knocked it down to three and wire on three and it worked better. Can almost see it in the dinky pics I put up.
