    Tank thickness?

Creative use for a water heater. How thick are the tanks in a water heater.

Is there anything else that people have made out water heaters? I see them in the trash but really never gave them a second look.

The water tank is pretty thick, 1/4" on the top and bottom and probably an 1/8 on the sides, although not are tanks are the same. It deffently matters where it was built, USA or else where. It's pretty heavy but I made it that way so it would last a few seasons. The grates on the inside are 1/4" x 1 1/4" angle and the smoke stack is 1/4" wall 8" pipe. I would guess its 150lbs +/-
