Look at this new guy

Hi everyone
Im Bryan im 18 years old iv just learned to Oxy Fuel weld and im starting
Arc welding within the next day or 2
I go to a Tech center for half of my school day to learn the welding art
Any advice would help
im here to try to get ahead anyway i can

My advice is to get a set of leathers, arc welding spatter will EAT YOU UP!
a plain old cotton shirt is plenty for gas welding, but arc welding throws sparks like heck.

and im sure someones going to ask how i have this car at such a young age
and the answer is iv had this car since the 7th grade my dad got it for me for only a few hundred bucks because it was a rust bucket but i did all the body work my self over the year and a friend of the family sprayed it for me in return for doing motor work for him .

The Blue Camaro is my Brother In Laws he and my dad taught me everything i know the bodywork and paint is far from perfect but the pictures really help to hide it hah

Very nice '69. I bet it sounds nice too. You didn't show any pics of the engine compartment.

I also had one when I was about 18. Mine was an original '70 SS/RS 396. I bought it for $2000 with 90k miles on it back in 1982. Muscle cars were cheap back then. Wish I still had it. I still like the looks of the '69 the best though.

Did your Dad know it isn't right to take advantage of the mentally disabled when he bought it?

I had a '66 Chevelle SS w/ (original) 375 HP 396 when I was 18 or so and thought the car was going to kill me. I can only imaging what 500 + HP must be like. I bought mine in pieces and had to put it all together myself.

it had alot of really bad rust spots and no motor
