First I do have flash back arrestors on the gauges and they are new, out of package last thursday. I never knew
that you had to back out the screw each time, so clearly that is will be followed to the letter. The person who
taught me never showed me that. My gauges are smith and are not for jewelry soldering, but casting - using a
#1 cutting torch - I assume they are low - but the reading says 500, that is why I am confused. I wil lbring them to the local supply Friday and have them checked. Thanks for the info. Cary
