I tried red vs blue (side by side) with Mig, I definitly was impressed with chopper technology...very smooth with nice starts.

hate to go sour to blue, but a pipeline welder here in town bought a new truck, bed and pro 300 last winter.i seen him the other weekend with a new 200d on the truck,i ask him what happened and the board admin would ban me if i told you the reply, but it had to do with a diesel welder lacking the 2 things all men have in common.

you guys have went from a 4500.00 welder to a 12000 dollar welder.and i have welded with a 350 too,and it is sweet.

lincoln or miller in the small footprint machines will do you fine, just remember most of the arc quality is in your hand.it takes years of practice to get the best arc quality.ole shieldarc is a old pro,his arc quality is different from the young guys just starting.
