I'm sure Sundown would rather we all spend 5 dollars on a tool or whatever we wanted on ourselves.

    He can see we care.

It's wonderful to see the response of this thread after only one day. It's obvious that his character was shown on this site.

George and I hung out at least once a week for a few hours together for the last 3 years and blew off steam about life, welding, cars, etc. I can't even express how much I will miss our friendship.

Everyday we hung out, he'd hassle me for not posting on here enough. Maybe it's about time I start.

At any rate, I'd like to welcome the idea of putting some cash together to get something for the family. His house is a mere 3 up from mine, and I know the family well. George spent alot of time in the garage and helping on this forum, so I think a JOINT collaboration would be great to show the knowledge and wisdom he brought to this board.

Again, email me at chainbreakr@yahoo.com. After a day or so, we can gauge the interest of what everyone wants to do. A paypal to me would be sufficient to gather up the cash to buy a "Hobart Board Boquet"...then fire up a thread with some small comments from each member that I can have attached to it....or something. Again, I want you guys to do what you want, and just know I'm around to help ya out....

If the only tool you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail.

I've liked George since my first day on these boards. I bought his Maxstar 150STH when he sold it to get the T/A. Somehow he knew then he'd eventually get the Dynasty.

He was a good man. He'd been E-mailing me about his illness. I'd been hoping for another update soon. I am very sad to hear of his passing, but confident we'll meet again.

Is his family taken care of?

Unhappy This caught me completely off guard

If my feeble memory is correct I saw a thread , with his son migging a project with excellant welding posture ,
and do I remember George mentioning , wishing for a big Black Shop Cat ?

Got eyes full of tears now......

Please encourage his son , to consider openly or privately , bringing problems of a shop-nature ,
or beyond to members of this board......(With his Mom's knowlege & approval).

    I'm out of word's

[quote]My shop dog Bandit won't let me have a shop cat, sniff Guess I better go out and weld some cleats up for the truck rack
and forget my dreams of having a black, shop cat.

In the beginning, the Earth was without form, and void.
When one picks up some wood or metal or stone and shapes it into something usefull
... I beleive that it has to be a deliberate effort to disavow a creator.

As you work these, and join them, you feel the force and the will of He
who formed and shaped the very resorces that you now add your will and force to.
Further one surely can know when your will and force is not aligned with His.

I never thought I wouldn't have a chance to repay the favors to George.

I'd read his posts about his Dynasty, and contacted him about using it to weld on an old aluminum car.He gladly made time for a small job, and I met an extremely gracious man and his son.

    Godspeed, George.

My thoughts are for the children and wife our friend has left behind.

Just a thought might not the donation better go to the family than to a flouriest?

Ill be tipping a beer tonight and thinking of the friends I have lost.

    R.I.P. George
