Depends what you want your welder to do??? Do you need pulse mig??
Your local welding store should be able to match the internet on that machine.
Depends if they want too? I been very impressed with mine, because it's
just a very solid unit overall. It's has a bit different type arc then most machines.
The best way to describe it's almost a inverter type arc but not exactly. At least
the inverters I have used. It has great arc starts and plenty of adjustably with
it's optional inductance control. Everything is a option except the burn-back control
and the dual bottle rack. The stick and tig arc are really nice too. Lift-arc only but
you would have a heck of a time telling it from a inverter tig machine. The specs
are wrong on the tig arc because it goes down to one amp on the low-end and about
312 on the high-end (DC only) I like it because it has pretty cheap circuit boards and
    not too many either.

Does the tig come with a foot pedal by chance? How dependable of a welder is it compaired to hobart and miller. I honestly LOVE millers arc on there bigger multiprocess machines but most of them are too expensive for me. I like my hh140 but want somthing a little stronger I never could get a good weld or feeling out of a lincoln I just didnt like lincoln welders at all they seemed inconsistant if you ask me... anything you could relate this machine too? I almsot want to try it before I buy it in a way.

You need to find a welding store with a demo setup. The Esab welds like no other machine
I have used but it was kind of between a Lincoln 255 and MM-350p. That would be the arc
quality but with a better wet out then the 255. What that means is you can run a crisper
type arc but still have good wet-out. I do like it better then the new Miller Shopmate, but I
really never ran that one long enough to really know what that machine has. The Esab is just
a good machine until you add the inductance control. For some reason it just turns it into
a totally different machine. I am with you on the Lincoln machines. I ran really good ones
and others of the same type and wonder what is wrong with it. The last PM-350 I used was
half the machine my 300 was. The synergig .035 (#11) control was just out of whack. The
Esab kicks that machines butt in the short-arc. Although on the standard #5 mig setting the
    PM-350 did much better.

You need to buy the foot-control extra for the Esab.

The 260 is a reliable welder because it's been out for quite a long time.
